Set out below are biographies of our senior management team.

Steve McCann LLB, BEc

Chief Executive Officer, Crown Resorts Limited

Chief Executive Officer and Director Crown Melbourne Limited

Steve McCann was appointed as Chief Executive Officer of Crown Resorts Limited on 1 June 2021. Mr McCann was appointed as Chief Executive Officer and Director of Crown Melbourne Limited on 20 August 2021. 

Mr McCann is a highly regarded and experienced business leader with over 25 years of executive experience. 

Mr McCann was previously the Group Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Lendlease from December 2008 to May 2021.

Prior to his appointment as Group Chief Executive Officer at Lendlease, Mr McCann held the positions of Group Finance Director and Chief Executive Officer for Lendlease’s Investment Management business. Lendlease is a leading international property development, investments and construction business with over 10,000 employees and is listed on the ASX.

Prior to joining Lendlease, Mr McCann had 15 years’ experience in property, funds management, investment banking and capital markets transactions gained through senior leadership roles at ABN AMRO and as Head of Property at Bankers Trust. Previous roles included four years as a mergers and acquisitions lawyer at Freehills and four years in taxation accounting.

Mr McCann is a member of the Business Council of Australia and while at Lendlease was a strong advocate in the Property Council of Australia’s Champions of Change Coalition. In 2013, Mr McCann was announced as the Property Person of the Year by the Urban Taskforce Australia.

Mr McCann holds a Bachelor of Economics and a Bachelor of Laws from Monash University in Melbourne, Australia.

Simon McGrath

Chief Executive Officer Crown Sydney and Group Head of Hospitality, Crown Resorts

Simon McGrath is Chief Executive Officer of Crown Sydney and Group Head of Hospitality of Crown Resorts.

Mr McGrath has over three decades of experience in the hotel sector across the Pacific region and is one of Australia’s most accomplished Hoteliers.

Prior to his role at Crown, Mr McGrath was the Chief Executive Officer of Accor Hotels Pacific and led the growth of Accor Hotels Pacific to almost 400 hotels across the region and leading a team of over 18,000 employees.

Prior to his role at Accor Hotels Pacific, Mr McGrath held senior executive positions in hotel groups including Southern Pacific Hotels (SPHC) and Rydges Hotel Group.

Throughout his career, Mr McGrath has played a major advocacy role in advancing Indigenous employment in hospitality and wider economic employment. He has also championed and taken a lead role to greatly improve gender diversity in the tourism sector.

Mr McGrath has been recognised for his contribution to the hospitality industry with numerous awards however most recently he was recognised in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List as a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) in June 2019 for his significant work in promoting Australian tourism internationally.

Alan F McGregor BCom, CA

Chief Financial Officer and Interim Company Secretary

Alan McGregor was appointed to the role of Chief Financial Officer of Crown with effect from 20 August 2020 and interim Company Secretary of Crown on 18 February 2020.

Mr McGregor has a strong casino background, having first joined Crown in April 2005 as General Manager Corporate Services at Crown Perth (formerly Burswood Entertainment Complex) and progressing to the role of Chief Financial Officer of Crown Perth in 2007.

Mr McGregor then moved to Melbourne in April 2013 to assume the role of Chief Financial Officer – Crown Melbourne, before taking the collective role of Chief Financial Officer – Australian Resorts which he held from August 2014 until his most recent appointment in August 2020.

Prior to joining Crown, Mr McGregor worked for SKYCITY Entertainment Group for seven years in various finance roles.

Mr McGregor is a Council Member of Crown College Institute of Higher Education, holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Auckland and is a member of Chartered Accountants of Australia and New Zealand.

Steven J Blackburn BA (HON), JD/LLB

Chief Risk Officer

Steven Blackburn was appointed as Crown Resorts’ Group Chief Risk Officer on 23 December 2021 having previously been appointed Group Chief Compliance and Financial Crime Officer on 1 March 2021. 

Mr Blackburn is responsible for Crown’s Financial Crime, Compliance, Responsible Gaming and Risk functions.

With over 17 years’ experience gained both overseas and in Australia working in senior executive Risk Management, Compliance and Financial Crime roles, Mr Blackburn has deep knowledge of and experience with risk management and compliance in heavily regulated environments across different sectors, including financial services and gaming.

Mr Blackburn has chaired and been a speaker at numerous conferences internationally and has represented employers and the financial services industry before senior government committees.

Mr Blackburn was previously National Australia Bank’s (NAB) Chief Financial Crime Risk Officer and was responsible for NAB’s financial crime program content and design and oversight of enterprise-wide implementation, including oversight of Financial Crime control activity and compliance with economic sanctions across NAB’s global operations.

Prior to NAB, Mr Blackburn was the Global Chief Anti-Money Laundering Officer at the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC). Mr Blackburn is a qualified lawyer, having been Managing Counsel at CIBC and practicing corporate/commercial law at Torys LLP in Toronto for several years prior to joining CIBC.

Mr Blackburn is a member of the Law Society of Ontario, holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from McGill University in Montreal, Canada, and a Juris Doctorate and Bachelor of Laws from Queen’s University in Kingston, Canada.

Mr Blackburn is a board director of the Canada Australia Chamber of Commerce.

Betty Ivanoff, LLB

Group General Counsel

Betty Ivanoff joined Crown Resorts as Group General Counsel on 21 June 2021 and is a corporate lawyer and executive with over 20 years’ experience in ASX listed companies and international organisations.

Previously, Ms Ivanoff was Group Director – Legal & Corporate Affairs for Coca-Cola Amatil Limited from 2016, leading the legal, governance and corporate affairs teams until the takeover by scheme of the company which was completed in May 2021.

Ms Ivanoff was also the Group General Counsel and Company Secretary for GrainCorp Limited from 2008 to 2016 and built the first legal and compliance team for the company, leading them through a period of vast growth and diversity, spanning many geographies.

Ms Ivanoff previously held corporate counsel positions with companies including CSR Limited, Walter Constructions and Sinclair Knight Merz. 

Ms Ivanoff is an active member of the International Bar Association (IBA), an ExCo member of the GC100 - Australian Corporate Counsel (ACC) and was previously a board director of Women’s Community Shelters.

Danielle Keighery

Chief Brand and Corporate Affairs Officer

As Crown Resorts’ Chief Brand and Corporate Affairs Officer, Danielle Keighery is responsible for Crown’s brand and reputation, including corporate affairs, public relations, government relations, internal communications, sponsorships and brand.

Ms Keighery joined Crown in February 2022, bringing with her over 20 years’ experience leading integrated corporate affairs, customer and marketing functions for some of the world’s largest and high-profile companies in the aviation, telco, media and wealth management sectors.

Prior to her role at Crown, Ms Keighery was Bank of Queensland’s Chief Customer Officer, responsible for all aspects of the customer strategy, brand and reputation, including customer experience, brand and marketing, customer analytics, corporate affairs and government relations.

Previously, Ms Keighery spent ten years at Virgin Australia, where she held a number of senior executive roles including Chief Customer Experience Officer and Group Executive of Brand, Marketing and Public Affairs. Here, in addition to brand, marketing and public affairs, she drove the end-to-end customer value proposition, responsible for the inflight and on-the-ground experience, from catering through to VIP clubs and lounges.

Prior to joining Virgin Australia, Ms Keighery led corporate affairs and brand activities for Virgin Management, Asia Pacific – the investment arm of the Virgin Group – across a number of industries including banking, health clubs, mobile phones and airlines.

Ms Keighery has also spent time abroad in London, as Nokia Global Director of Corporate Communications. Here she was involved in the transformation of the business which saw Nokia become the number one mobile manufacturer globally.

Ms Keighery has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Sydney and has held roles across a number of philanthropic boards including CARE Australia, The Biennale and Virgin Unite (Richard Branson’s global charity arm).

Tony Weston B.Bus; GAICD 

Chief People and Culture Officer

Tony Weston commenced his role of Chief People and Culture Officer at Crown Resorts on 7 June 2021, bringing with him to Crown over twenty years’ experience in the human resources field.

Mr Weston has extensive international experience in a wide range of corporations across the gaming, hospitality, FMCG, retail, transport, telecommunications and finance industries.

He has carved a reputation in leading strategic human resource functions and successful business transformations across Australia, the United States, Asia and Europe.

Over the course of his career, Mr Weston has held key leadership roles at major Australian companies including: Foster’s Group Limited, Australian Leisure & Hospitality Group (ALH), Aristocrat, National Australia Bank (NAB), 7-Eleven, Kmart and Telstra.

Mr Weston holds a Bachelor of Business Degree in Human Resource Management from Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology and is a Graduate Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Jeannie Mok

Chief of Staff

Jeannie Mok commenced her role as Chief of Staff at Crown Resorts in October 2021.

In this role, Ms Mok acts as a key strategic advisor to the Chief Executive Officer, assisting with the design, coordination and prioritisation of strategic initiatives for the Group as well as overseeing their implementation with the broader business. Ms Mok is also responsible for providing strategic support for key governance and remediation projects across the Group.

Ms Mok has significant experience in the real estate and funds management industries with expertise across business improvement, operational excellence, investment operations, legal, governance, risk and compliance.

Prior to joining Crown, Ms Mok was with Lendlease for 14 years where she has held a number of senior roles, including Head of Legal & Business Operations for the Investment Management business. Ms Mok was most recently Head of Operational Excellence for the Australian Property business at Lendlease, with accountability for designing and leading the implementation of best practice business improvement, risk management and corporate governance initiatives. Prior to Lendlease, Ms Mok was a solicitor at King & Wood Mallesons.

Ms Mok holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of New South Wales.
